Clutch explores the gateway between childhood and adulthood. It involves a girl, a pony and mutant eggs. Clutch addresses themes of adolescence and the transition to adulthood. One of the challenges of this film was to tell a story that was visually cinematic, yet communicated emotion without the use of dialogue.
Clutch was screened as part of the opening highlights at Brief Encounters 2002

South West Tour to regional cinemas 2003
As part of a UK Film Council initiative Clutch was one of two films selected to be part of a pilot scheme screening short films in 500 hairdressing salons across the UK- 2003.
This scheme received national press coverage.
